Bagiku sendiri.... Sunrise itu lagu kenangan waktu ultah ke-23. Abis mandi sore, begitu keluar kamar mandi, sebutir telur menimpaku kemudian disambut dengan taburan tepung dan guyuran air. Selamat ulang tahuuuuuun! Dasar, anak-anak kos yang kelewat ceria! Tunggu pembalasankuuu! Ihik, sebenarnya, dengan caranya sendiri mereka memperhatikanku kan dan aku merasa mereka seperti sunrise yang menyemangati *halah*. Kalau dari segi lirik sih memang nggak nyambung hehehe.

Musim hujan... sendu... tapi nggak usah muram begitu.... mari kita melagu *halah*

Japan

The Japanese artists who performed at last year's Java Jazz Festival were a great success, so much so, that the 2007 festival will have a special Japanese stage to showcase music and culture from the country. Japan has for long been one of the biggest and most supportive investors in Indonesia and has a deep understanding of Indonesia, its culture and its people. The stage is also in recognition of the long-standing special relationship between both countries and the increasingly strong relationship between the Java Jazz Festival committee and Tokyo’s premier jazz venue, Blue Note Tokyo, often seen as a barometer for jazz in Asia

Children are the Future

"Music can relay messages of hope, love and peace and we need the inspiration of music to help fulfill any dream of world peace ", notes festival chairman Peter F Gontha, who also heads up the Asian Jazz Festival Organization (AJFO)

We believe that music brings the world together and it is increasingly important for us to have some knowledge and understanding of people and cultures other than our own. This is especially true of our children who will truly live and work in a global community.

Adults so often quarrel, fight and even go to war, but children are the real peacemakers of tomorrow. They are the key to a better future. We live for them, we do things for them, and they have no agenda.

Children Are the Future, a very special musical collaboration concert to be held on Saturday, 3 March, has the support of UNICEF. A multi-cultural group of 200- 300 children aged between 5-18, from regions in Indonesia including Aceh, Papua, Sulawesi and Bali and from international schools in Jakarta, like the British School, American School, Japanese School and Korean School, will dance and sing under the direction of the widely acclaimed top Japanese saxophonist Sadao Watanabe.

Two famous Indonesian artists will support him, with world choirs champion Elfa Secioria arranging the vocals and composer and keyboardist Dwiki Dharmawan on the percussion Seeing children from local schools joining in with those from other countries, will serve to remind us that we are, after all, a global family and the one thing that we all crave for is PEACE.
