Italian Institute of Culture Jakarta in collaboration with Kineforum and Jakarta Art Council will screen 6 Italian box office movies. Menurut bocoran salah satu anggota milis pelajar Indonesia di Italia akan ada satu presentasi spesial sebelum pemutaran film "Lezioni di volo" (disutradarai oleh Francesca Archibugi) pada hari Rabu tanggal 18 Juni pukul 7.30 malam. Buat yang nggak bisa bahasa Italia, jangan nyerah duluan karena eh karena seluruh film dilengkapi teks bahasa Inggris. Asyiknya lagi, tidak dipungut biaya alias GRATIS!

Dalam rangka memperkenalkan dan memasyarakatkan astronomi secara luas kepada khalayak, maka tim Rig-K dan HIMASTRON ITB bersama-sama mengadakan acara pertemuan dalam bentuk star party untuk para skywatcher dan semua orang yang tertarik untuk mengenal astronomi.

Starparty adalah tempat yang tepat bagi pengunjung yang ingin berbagi pengetahuan tentang antariksa. Pengunjung juga bisa memasang teleskopnya di sana. Berbagi ilmu memakai teleskop, peta langit, membidik galaksi,

nebula atau objek deep-field lainnya bisa juga dilakukan. Pastinya starparty adalah ajang yang tepat untuk menyalurkan hobi dan rasa ingin tahu pengunjung akan dunia yang kita tempati ini, bumi dan alam semesta.

Tersedia juga alat, perlengkapan dan tenaga ahli untuk menikmati langit.

Pertemuan ini ditujukan untuk membangun sinergi antar pecinta astronomi di Indonesia dan secara khusus yang tergabung dalam komunitas astronomi di Indonesia.

The Japanese artists who performed at last year's Java Jazz Festival were a great success, so much so, that the 2007 festival will have a special Japanese stage to showcase music and culture from the country. The stage is also in recognition of the long-standing special relationship between both countries and the increasingly strong relationship between the Java Jazz Festival committee and Tokyo’s premier jazz venue, Blue Note Tokyo, often seen as a barometer for jazz in Asia

Children are the Future

"Music can relay messages of hope, love and peace and we need the inspiration of music to help fulfill any dream of world peace ", notes festival chairman Peter F Gontha, who also heads up the Asian Jazz Festival Organization (AJFO)

We believe that music brings the world together and it is increasingly important for us to have some knowledge and understanding of people and cultures other than our own. This is especially true of our children who will truly live and work in a global community.

Adults so often quarrel, fight and even go to war, but children are the real peacemakers of tomorrow. They are the key to a better future. We live for them, we do things for them, and they have no agenda.

Children Are the Future, a very special musical collaboration concert to be held on Saturday, 3 March, has the support of UNICEF. A multi-cultural group of 200- 300 children aged between 5-18, from regions in Indonesia including Aceh, Papua, Sulawesi and Bali and from international schools in Jakarta, like the British School, American School, Japanese School and Korean School, will dance and sing under the direction of the widely acclaimed top Japanese saxophonist Sadao Watanabe.

Two famous Indonesian artists will support him, with world choirs champion Elfa Secioria arranging the vocals and composer and keyboardist Dwiki Dharmawan on the percussion Seeing children from local schools joining in with those from other countries, will serve to remind us that we are, after all, a global family and the one thing that we all crave for is PEACE.
